Introduction

This melody is came from the Chorus “See, Conquering Hero Comes,” from Handel’s oratorio “Judas Maccabaeus” written in 1745-1746, which is one of the most popular oratorio besides his “Messiah,” although I have not have any chance of playing.

I have the impression that this piece is often played at award ceremonies in Japan, but I wonder if it is still the case even now.
